Centralized Lone Worker can be automatically activated depending on the time of day or the location of a person. The solution ensures that the worker is not in a dangerous situation by sending a text message to the radio at predefined intervals of time to which the employee must respond to confirm their status. If a person fails to respond to a message an alarm is immediately raised to colleagues and emergency support teams. To do this, MDN monitors workers by detecting a lack of movement, a horizontal tilt, or a combination of both. The indoor positioning system is essentially a way to track any Bluetooth device when
it is indoors. Bluetooth devices can include MOTOTRBO radios that are equipped with
Bluetooth dongles or any Bluetooth capable device. Each device is given their own
identity and can be monitored when moving from one zone to the next. Each beacon
can be programmed to specify the radius of each zone which can be anywhere from 5
to 100 metres. Multiple beacons can be used to narrow down each zone to better
specify where staff members are located.
